Why aren't Earth loving liberals out there cleaning the oil spill? (LA)

I find it ironic that liberals claim to be so outraged over the spill and the lack of progress but they refuse to go out there and mop oil. I mean, liberals love the Earth so much that they want to tax energy and tell everyone else how to live a green life. They also don't seem to mind that Obama lied to them, again, and plans to legalize whaling after saying he wouldn't.
